Cold, wind, and rain! That was the theme last week with the biggest cold front so far pushing through.  Despite the tough conditions we managed to stay on the fish.  Sticking primarily in the creeks and rivers.  We landed some very nice snook as well as some quality trout and redfish.

We've been on a great bite all week.  Having to work around the toothy bluefish to get our trout but they fight hard for sure!   If they don't cut you off.  Lots of spanish mackerel as well.  Still picking up some nice grouper as well trolling.

Crushing it!  Just about every species is on fire at the moment.  Trout, Snook, Grouper, and Redfish have been hitting anything you throw at them.  Even the occasional pompano has been caught.

Bait!  There’s bait everywhere out there at the moment.  Birds, mackerel, bluefish, and lady fish are in a frenzy hitting them.  Definitely makes for fun fishing.  However the winds and tide early in the week limited us on where we could go. Had to primarily focus on snook in the river.  Friday and Saturday the trout bite really picked up.  At times it has been every cast.  Even a few pompano being caught.

Bite has been on fire all week.  Highs in the low 80’s with light wind the conditions couldn’t be better.  Trout fishing inshore has been great with some really nice spanish mackerel being caught.  The light winds have allowed us to sneak out and do some grouper fishing as well.

The first decent cold front definitely shook up the fishing a bit. Dropping the water temp down to 58 degrees monday.  Lots of snook in the river at the moment.  Shallow water grouper fishing really picked up the past few days and the calm seas have allowed us to venture out.

Great trout fishing has been the theme throughout the week.  Lots of upper slots and a few over 20 inches have been landed.  Best bite has been on the outgoing tide.  The very low tide and strong wind early in the week somewhat limited our snook and redfishing but we still landed some quality fish!  As water temps drop the fish will continue their move closer to shore.

Fall weather has finally arrived but it has brought the wind with it. The trout bite has really picked up.  The key has been finding clean water.  Still having to weed through the shorts to get some keepers but the bite has been solid.  Very nice snook and reds have been landed around high tide.

Lots of quality fish lately!  The redfish bite has absolutely fired off.  Lots of overslot fish but still some slots being landed.  Live bait has been the key.  Got into some monster black drum earlier in the week in the 30-40 pound range which are an absolute blast on light tackle.  Some great snook have been landed as well primarily on the incoming tides with artificials.

Winds this week have been absolutely brutal but the fish don’t seem to mind.  Some very nice snook have been landed up to 29” with double digit catch numbers midweek.. Dirty water is affecting the trout bite quite a bit but still picking up a few.  Redfish have been in the mix as well with one monster landed at 36 inches!
